Perfect for baking. Non-stick, silicone surface, easy to clean. Also great for rolling dough. Highly recommend for all bakers.

I have used other cooking mats in the past (the ones that are supposed to make all your pans like teflon) and this hands down is far superior. I just received them last week and made cheese sausage balls on them. They browned up beautifully and all I had to do was wipe them off with a paper towel. I also bought one for my two adult sons as they do a lot of baking and heating up of chicken tenders etc. Since nobody like the clean up part of cooking these would make a great gift for anyone.

I have been using these for many years and can't imagine baking without them. NOTHING sticks - caramel, fragile cookies, burnt on juices. I use them as hostess and wedding shower gifts and have never failed to get very enthusiastic "thanks". Do like the professional chefs do and buy a couple. You won't regret it.

I purchased a Silpat mat and it is a fabulous item. Cookies come off easily: no more burned bottoms or overly crispy edges. There is an image left behind on the sheet where cookies were last baked, but it doesn't affect the performance of the sheet. The sheet can produce some smoking from the oven temperature, but it wasn't a problem. I saw a similar product at my local grocery store: same size sheet but red in color (those sheets were $4.00 a piece, so it might be worth considering). I baked 4 different cookie recipes using this mat and all were the best batches I'd ever made.
