Goodbye Rowenta! January 9, 2009 Well, after years of being a Rowenta owner, I finally took the advice of a costumer for our theater who's been after me for years to switch to Black and Decker (Consumer Reports also rates this iron the highest) I cannot believe I've been spending that much on an iron when this one is MUCH better at only $30! I can see how other reviews mention the water cap.....it is a bit flimsy. Otherwise, this iron is GREAT!
Great Iron January 8, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The iron is the best I've ever owned and I've owned a few including two Sharks. It is a beautiful thing. The steam function works well, the iron is great!! I'd certainly recommend it to anyone. Thanks
Pretty decent iron January 7, 2009 Keeping it short and simple, here's my pro/con synopsis:
PROS - Digital display beeps an alert when iron temp is ready. - Auto-off feature saves the forgetful - Nice burst of steam when steam buttom is pressed - Water lasts a long time
CONS - The steam adjustment dial is annoying! (fingers easily brush against it, leaving me wondering why no steam is coming out) - No retractable cord (I was spoiled by my last iron)
Overall, it's a decent iron
"Love to Iron" January 7, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ironing is a necessary activity in our home and this iron absolutely does the job!!!! Used it to train my kids to iron.
The Best Little Iron That Could...And Will For A Long Time! January 6, 2009 As a mother of 6, I have gone through many irons. Most fail within a matter of months or don't meet all of my many needs for the diverse ironing I do. This iron has features not found on many other irons and is easy to use. It glides across a variety of fabrics with ease and never sticks. I no longer use starch thanks to the steam boost. The easy-to-read water tank and temperature setting are a plus! The aout on/off feature is great! This iron will be around for quite sometime.
